Landform
A recently deglaciated fjord system. Tidewater glaciers still calve into the bay; the land itself is rising as the ice leaves.
Field note
When Vancouver sailed past in 1794 this was a wall of ice. The ice has since retreated sixty miles, leaving new land, new forest, and a living textbook of succession. Tidewater faces still calve with a sound like weather.
