Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah is Navajo for gray salt. There is no trail and no water. The King of Wings and the Alien Throne sit in the same empty. Most people stop at Bisti and never come here.

Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah is a Fruitland Formation badland in the San Juan Basin: winged hoodoos and empty mudstone west of Bisti / De-Na-Zin. Same basin, different wilderness — no loop trail, no water, and no visitor station. The plate is this wilderness, not the better-known Bisti walk.
