A remnant playa of Lake Bonneville. Salt polygons to the horizon, a speedway, and a white floor that is also a sky.
Field note
The salt is a few inches to a few feet. After winter water it is a mirror. In summer it is a cracked white sea. Land-speed records were written here. The mountains sit on the edge like a painted backdrop.
