Landform

A granite range of knife ridges and alpine lakes above the Salmon River headwaters. Less famous than the Tetons, equally sharp.

Field note

Stanley is a wide valley and a thin road. The Sawtooths rise like a wall. Redfish and Stanley Lakes hold the reflections. Autumn aspen is the quiet season.
