A massive shield volcano whose summit depression is a wide, cinder-cone wilderness above the clouds. Not a true crater — an erosional valley.
Field note
The summit is a cold alpine desert. Cinder cones sit like islands in a sea of clinker. Below the rim, the clouds are a floor. Silversword plants live only here.
