Living dunes of Navajo sandstone, coral in low sun, stacked against a cliff of the same rock they came from.
Field note
The dunes are grains of Navajo sandstone, blown off the cliffs and piled in a pocket. Coral at dusk, pale at noon. Kanab is down the road. Zion is the next canyon. The dunes still move.
