Blacktail Trail drops into a sea of grass. A few buttes break the line. Lemmon is the nearest town. This is USFS Dakota Prairie Grasslands, not Theodore Roosevelt and not the Badlands Loop. Come for sky and distance, not a visitor-center overlook.
