Landform

A young fault-block range rising abruptly from a sage and aspen valley. No foothills — just a wall of granite horns above glacial lakes.

Field note

The Teton fault lifted the range in the last few million years. Mormon Row barns sit in the foreground of the classic view. Jenny Lake and the Snake River braid the valley floor.
