Field note

Arc Dome is the high point of the Toiyabe Range, about 53 miles north of Tonopah, in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The summit stands near 11,770 feet. Austin is the town on the west. Cow Canyon is one approach. The Rubies and the Snake Range keep their own plates. This plate is Arc Dome, not Wheeler Peak.
