Landform

A volcanic plug like a black tooth. The largest of the Rio Puerco necks — Cabezon, big head.

Field note

The land around it wore down. The plug stayed. A field of smaller necks dots the valley. From the dirt road it looks impossible — a single tooth in a grass sea.
