A high Wasatch tarn in the Timpanogos cirque — snow, talus, and a narrow green bowl. Not Blanche and not Cecret.
Field note
The glacier remnant holds the shade. The lake takes the color of the stone. Hikers thread the last bench. This is Emerald in the Timpanogos basin, not a Cottonwood tarn.
