Field note

Pedernales Falls State Park holds about 5,212 acres on the Pedernales River in Blanco County, ten miles east of Johnson City. The river crosses broad limestone ledges under cypress and live oak. Texas Parks and Wildlife opened the park in 1971. Lost Maples and Enchanted Rock keep their own Hill Country plates. This plate is the falls, not Big Bend.
