Field note
The National Park Service administers Carlsbad Caverns. The Big Room formed in Capitan limestone, a Permian reef, and Mexican free-tailed bats leave the natural entrance on summer evenings. Guadalupe Mountains National Park is the next range on this atlas, not this cave.
