A marble cave in the Siskiyous, under old Douglas-fir.
Field note
The National Park Service holds Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve in the Siskiyou Mountains. The cave is dissolved from marble, not the limestone of Mammoth or Carlsbad, and old Douglas-fir stands on the preserve around it. The road in is narrow and mountain-grade.
