Hot Creek Geological Site is Inyo National Forest ground in the Long Valley Caldera, east of Mammoth Lakes. Turquoise pools and steam vents sit in the gorge. Soaking is prohibited: the water boils, and eruptions have injured people. Stay on the viewing area. This is not a soak.
