The memorial forest is a 3,800-acre tract of old yellow-poplar in Graham County, named for the poet and kept by the Forest Service. The walk is a two-mile figure-eight. In 1975 the grove was joined to the larger Joyce Kilmer–Slickrock Wilderness. Robbinsville is the town. This plate is the memorial forest, not the Smokies and not Panthertown.
