A maze of bald cypress and Spanish moss on a drowned floodplain. One of the largest cypress forests in the world, more bayou than lake.
Caddo is the only natural lake in Texas of any size, and even that is half legend — a logjam on the Red River helped make it. Dawn fog turns the knees and moss into a single gray room.
