Field note
The National Park Service administers Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. There is no road in; Port Alsworth is a fly-in town on the lake. Turquoise water is glacial flour. Redoubt and Iliamna are the active volcanoes on the Cook Inlet side. Kenai Fjords is the ice plate you can drive toward from Seward; this one you fly to.
