Smugglers Notch Vermont
A narrow, boulder-choked pass under the cliffs of Mount Mansfield. Vermont Route 108 through the notch is closed by snow.
Vermont State Parks holds Smugglers' Notch State Park under Mount Mansfield, the state's high point. The notch is a boulder-strewn defile. Vermont Route 108 through the notch is closed by snow for much of the year. The White Mountains plate is New Hampshire. This is the Vermont side of the same kind of country.
