Field note

Toadstool Geologic Park sits in Oglala National Grassland, which the U.S. Forest Service manages, in the Pine Ridge of northwest Nebraska. Clay pedestals wear sandstone caps, and fossil trackways are signed on the walk. The toadstool-hoodoos plate is the Utah Paria toadstools. This one is Nebraska.
